Buxton Company Store from the Monroe County Historical Societies 2010 calendar. Photo after 1911 when the original store burned down. Some of the store's foundation is still visible in Buxton Park. The railroad's storage building is behind the store in the center of the picture. The brick wall ruins to the storage building are still standing in Buxton Park. The company store had DC electrical service. Note the power lines and the street lights in front of the store. Buxton homes were without electrical power. Photo is looking northeast towards the  north entrance to Buxton. Church spirals are visible of the two church's that were located on A Street.
