The Consol Post Office was located in my grandfather Dave Peterson’s store. He was the Consol Post Master from 1917 to 1922. Dave Peterson is on the right in the photo and his father in law Adolph Nylander in in the middle. The store was located along the south side of Route 32, the main route through Consol and  where it intersected near the railroad tracks. The Store/Consol Post Office is now the North End Tavern in Lovilia. The insert is a 1990 photo of the North End Tavern owned by Joanne Ford. The Tavern has since been expanded.
